It represented a brave new world, through an attention-grabbing media strategy and a disciplined electoral strategy alongside it, giving the ability to nurture a new generation of liberal leaders and build to once again effectively challenge the government.

Two years on, the party regularly poll in 5th place – behind the surging support for Reform, and the Green Party.
