Liverpool: Power & Politics in the 21st Century

Sunday, 25 September 2016, 3-5pm
Black-E, Liverpool

As part of The World Transformed festival of politics, Compass is presenting a conversation on power and politics in the Twenty-First Century.

The dawn of the 21st century saw much talk of a new age network culture and leaderless politics. We’ve seen the awesome power of social media to assist radical organising in recent years. But we’ve also seen the failures that can be produced by a lack of clear direction, decisive leadership or understanding of who our enemies are. How do we balance the desire for a world without hierarchies with the need for effective political strategy?
