All those attending Liberal Democrat conference are warmly invited to attend the Hilton Hotel in Bournemouth (five minutes walk from the official conference venue) for a meeting of Compass Lib Dems on Sunday 24th September 1-2pm.

This event is for every Liberal Democrat who wants to change the structure and culture of our politics so we can change our country, starting with PR. To get there, we need to reflect on a politics that effectively builds long term agreement across parties and those of none, so we can meet the huge challenges we face, whether on climate, inequality or rebuilding our crumbling public services. This starts with a recognition that, in the words of Jo Cox, we have ‘more in common than that which divides us.’

Neal will chair the panel with former leader of the party Vince Cable, London Assembly Member Hina Bohkari, and more.

We will discuss progressive cross-party cooperation and how we can rise to the challenge of building a deep and enduring settlement to replace our stale, outdated politics. Speakers will touch on everything from the practicalities of coalition-building to the ideas around which progressives from all parties can coalesce.
