Talkin’ bout our Generation

Friends Meeting House, 12 Jesus Lane, Cambridge, CB5 8BA

‘People try to put us down, just because we get around.’

So sang The Who in 1965.

Now it’s time for Generation 2017 to step up and write their own version.

Join us on at 2pm on Saturday 4 March to take up that challenge.

Bring your energy, your ideas, your voices – and your friends – for an assembly to debate what really matters to you and all young adults today.

What needs sorting?:

Work opportunities? University fees? Affordable homes? Protecting the environment? Modern apprenticeships? Personal relationships? Culture & entertainment? Your power to change things? Mental health? Local buses? How can young people get heard in politics? What would do if you had the power to make Cambridge a better place to live?

This assembly is about young people, by young people, for young people. Let’s make it a big one!

We promise: no panel debates, no Question Time, no lectures and no rambling. Instead it’ll be an afternoon full of what we do best – chat, debate, think, meet and drink tea! (Cake may also be involved.) So show up and bring your ideas!

The event is free to attend. Anyone between the ages of 16 and 25 is welcome! But help us out and sign up here to get a piece of the action.
