How can Labour councils connect with their communities – lessons from lockdown

Online

This event has now passed, but the video is available to watch back here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8xkYEDnkgQ&t=44s

On Monday 21st September, 1.30-2.30pm, Labour Together and Compass will be hosting a panel discussion on how Labour councils can better connect with their communities.

Responses by local government to the coronavirus crisis have varied significantly from place to place. Some councils have stepped back and others, like Barking and Dagenham, have stepped up, genuinely connecting with their communities. What can Labour councils learn from these experiences?

Joining us to discuss this will be  Steve Reed MP (Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government), Anna Randle (Chief Executive of Collaborate, Darren Rodwell (Leader of Barking and Dagenham council) and Hannah O’Rourke (Labour Together). The meeting will be chaired by Neal Lawson.

The event is open to all and free to attend. Register here.
