Two years ago Compass launched a campaign to 'End Legal Loan Sharking'. The campaign had a significant impact on the political debate around payday lending and brought to light the negative social effects that high cost lending was having on many communities.

Carl Packman author of Loan Sharks: The Rise and Rise of Payday Lending, recently published by Searching Finance has written an exclusive piece for Compass on why payday lenders are growing and how we can stop them.
