22 April 2015 – ‘Tactical Voting and Coalitions – what happens next?’

It looks as if the political landscape has changed, making the May election and its immediate aftermath impossible to predict. The usual pollsters, pundits and experts are floundering. The Conservatives and Labour are stuck in their message of ‘vote for us….anything else will bring disaster to your door’.

This event will be run as a Workshop, facilitated by Bill Malley, providing an opportunity to engage in the pros and cons of tactical voting, and issues around coalitions and collaborations. Bring your expertise, doubt and commitment…allow for exploring issues and individual reflection…come to listen and share…don’t expect, but hope for a new consensus or collective actions.

The event complements Compass’s launch of an online forum on Tactical Voting at http://compassonline.forumchitchat.com/

This is a free event but booking – at https://eventbrite.co.uk/event/16246473640/ – is essential as it is likely to be very popular.

22 April 2015 – ‘Developing Compass in the West Midlands’ an opportunity for Compass members to talk through ways forward, 6pm-7pm i.e. immediately prior to the Tactical Voting event and in the same room.

21 May 2015 – ‘Doing politics differently – a conversation with Ruth Lister, Chair of the Compass Management Committee’ – full details will be sent nearer the time.
