Local groups are at the heart of Compass. Groups meet locally to provide an open and inclusive home for our members to meet like-minded people in a friendly environment. During meetings members debate the political issues and often campaign on local issues.

The group's next event is "Anti-Austerity: But Pro What?": a 2-part Workshop on 18 and 25 February, Birmingham, 7pm-9pm both dates. The event is free, but registration is required. The aim of the event is to set out a concise, inclusive and easily understandable alternative to neo-liberalism’s five principles. There will be guest speakers, group work and interesting exploration of progressive principles.
