Volunteer

Do you have the capacity to donate your time and skills to help Compass make a Good Society a reality?

We rely heavily on volunteers who have a variety of skills and interests.  We already have excellent and dedicated volunteers who steer our Management Committee, scores of academics who help write our publications and committed local group co-ordinators who empower our network to grow, debate, organise events and make change happen. We really appreciate all of our volunteers and are always looking for more!

Below are some ways you can volunteer your time to help Compass.

Office Volunteers (London based)

If you are based in or near London and would like to come into the office to volunteer then we would be glad to have you.

Volunteers can decide which tasks they undertake and for how long they volunteer with us.

We operate normal office hours and need help on a range of tasks including database updating and mailings; event management and membership organisation; website updating, research and campaigning.

We are currently looking for:

  • an events volunteer to specifically help with organising the Compass 2013 Conference

Expenses are provided for office volunteers to cover travel to the office, lunch and anything else reasonably incurred whilst volunteering.

To find out more get in touch with Rosie the National Coordinator or Joe the Campaigns Organiser

Volunteering Outside of London

You don’t have to be near London to help – indeed we actively encourage people from across the UK to get involved either nationally or locally.

Currently we are looking for:

  • help with our website- we are redesigning our website and would appreicate some help writing copy for the site and inputting in the design of the webiste
  • write a blog for us about something you are interested in or have experienced that is in line with Compass' approaches and philosophy of a good society

Our Management Committee also has places reserved for those outside of England including. These roles are currently held by:

Welsh Rep: Russell Elliot: RussellElliott0@gmail.com

Scottish Rep: willie@compassonline.org.uk
